I'm not building Conduit
from the sidelines.
Oliver Cookson, founder of Conduit. Lifelong athlete, hybrid athlete, and the guy chasing two World Championships in a single season while building the brand alongside it.
A brother to chase
Oliver grew up playing the same sports his older brother played: soccer, football, hockey, and baseball, surrounded by the same group of friends he came up through the ranks with. Hockey and baseball were the two that stuck.
Chasing an older brother's example instilled a competitiveness early. Oliver prided himself on being the most fit person on every team he played for, long before "hybrid athlete" was a term anyone used.
Obsessed with the prep
Where most teammates showed up and played, Oliver was always more locked in on preparation. What happened before the game mattered as much as the game itself.
That curiosity led him to research functional mushrooms on his own, discovering their effect on focus and mental clarity before training and competition, long before they were trending in the supplement industry.
The research turned into formulation. Oliver started experimenting with ingredients in his own kitchen, weighing doses, testing them against his own training, and cutting anything that wasn't safe and backed by research. Those kitchen batches became MycoCore, the mushroom performance complex that now runs through every Conduit product.
Fuel during the game
For six years Oliver's training centered on running and lifting to support hockey. Everything changed after graduating college in May 2025. Within months he began training for triathlon and his first half Ironman, and that shift opened up an entirely new understanding of nutrition and in-activity fueling.
Long bike rides revealed something he'd never experienced in hockey: the ability to fuel during competition, not just before it. That realization, that hockey players, basketball players, and every team-sport athlete are missing a tool endurance athletes have relied on for years, is the exact origin of Conduit Shift.
Cardio and HIIT were never optional extras to Oliver, they're the foundation that makes every other physical skill possible. Combined with a lifelong love of lifting heavy and a newfound love of trail running near home, that belief defines the modern Oliver Cookson. Not a runner, not a lifter, a hybrid athlete in the fullest sense.
Road to Worlds
Musselman 70.3, finished 5:09. The result that kicked off one goal: qualify for both HYROX Worlds and IRONMAN 70.3 Worlds in the same year.
The goal behind the whole build: become the best hybrid athlete pursuing that dual standard. It's also the foundation of Conduit's first brand campaign, Road to Worlds, a founder-led pursuit of both World Championships, followed in real time, with the brand built alongside it rather than behind it.
Two bases,
one season
Saratoga Springs, NY through the summer, where trail running and long open-road rides define the block. Miami, FL for the rest of the year, building Conduit and training through the winter. A hybrid athlete building a hybrid brand, moving with the training rather than staying tied to one place.
